Background: I grew up in rural, eastern North Carolina, and early in life I developed a love for the outdoors, especially activities that centered around water. Early on, my dad introduced me to the joy of fishing and duck hunting, many of these experiences coming in boats of one kind or another, whether they were jon boats, canoes or larger power boats. Throughout my life my family has spent much time on the coasts of North and South Carolina, so I have grown to appreciate coastal life and places. With a job change, my dad moved us to southwest Ohio where I attended high school and have now graduated from college. Over the last several years I have developed a love for kayaking and biking, and moving on after graduation, I have decided to use the things I love to help others. So this project is about using my love for water sports, travel and learning to make a difference for people around the world that have drinking water which is often dirtier than the water I will be kayaking through. I hope that you will follow my trip and get involved along the way, whether that be through physically participating, donating or simply praying.
